SMART LOCKS: WIRE-FREE, COST-EFFICIENT ACCESS CONTROL
Smart locks allow you to secure the interior doors of your premises for less. They require neither cabling nor power supply, and can be easily integrated with your existing system. They can be used alone, or in conjunction with a traditional access control system.
Smart locks are easy to install and even easier to use. They are ideal for interior doors that require a moderate level of security.

ONLINE OR OFFLINE MODE
Offline locks: operating principle
- RFID badges are encoded with a desktop encoder.
- The badge carries the access rights of the owner, the logs and the status of the batteries.
- The electronic lock works on battery and without computer wiring.
- The lock itself determines the right of access in relation to the authorizations recorded on the badge.
Online wireless locks: operating principle
- Real-time radio communication with the access control system.
- The electronic lock reads the badge, the access rights are controlled by the LPU.
- The solution allows remote door opening.
- The solution is able to display the status of supervised doors.
The smart locks offered by Horoquartz are integrated with the Protecsys 2 Suite access control solution by using OSO protocol to guarantee the security of communications.
The badges are also encoded with OSO data. The OSO protocol is developed by the OSS Association (Open Security Standards Association) of which Horoquartz is a member.
The use of the OSO protocol ensures compatibility with U&Z locks offered by Horoquartz as well as solutions from other manufacturers supporting the OSO protocol.
